Session Details: WakeMed Birth and Family Education Classes

This fast-paced interactive one-day class is designed for new or more seasoned parents. The class covers all of the basics of labor and birth preparation, including labor recognition, phases and stages of labor, ways to manage pain in labor and more. Classroom instruction will be complemented with textbook given during class. (9:00am – 5:00pm) This class is "In-Person". If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or another acute, contagious illness, please stay at home and call or email to reschedule your class. By entering a WakeMed facility, visitors are attesting that they are free of the symptoms of contagious illness. This class includes an optional tour of the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum hospital units at the campus location during the last hour of class time.
