Name
Sibling Class and "Virtual" Tour - WakeMed Raleigh Campus
Date & Time
Saturday, August 1, 2020, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Description
Your child will learn all about babies and becoming Big Brother and Big Sister! The class includes what newborn babies look like, what they can do, and how siblings can help with the special care that their baby brother or sister needs. Safety issues, such as toy safety, food safety and being gentle with the baby are included in the instruction. There is a hands-on instructional time where the siblings can put into practice with their parents what "being a helper" will look like at home. The sibling will be given a craft to complete at home. The sibling will have an opportunity to see where mom and new brother or sister will be during the hospital stay. ****PLEASE NOTE: During the season when Influenza and RSV viruses are prevalent in our communities, WakeMed implements a visitation restriction policy designed to keep our youngest and our most vulnerable population safe. Consequently, during this period our Sibling class will ONLY include classroom instruction, fun activities, crafts and a VIRTUAL TOUR of the space where the new sibling will be. If restrictions are not employed at the time of your class, the Sibling class WILL include the tour. Cost: $15/Family. Classes are held on Saturday (10:30am - 11:30am)
