Description
Weekend Intensive is a fast-paced, eight-hour interactive class covering the entire Labor & Birth education curriculum in one weekend: Saturday (9am - 1pm) and Sunday (9am - 1pm). Classroom instruction will build on activities and will be complemented by a textbook given during class. Participants will learn all of the basics of labor and birth preparation, including labor recognition, phases and stages of labor, ways to manage pain in labor, and more. This class is "In-Person". If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or another acute, contagious illness, please stay at home and call or email to reschedule your class. By entering a WakeMed facility, visitors are attesting that they are free of the symptoms of contagious illness. This class includes an optional tour of the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum hospital units at the campus location during class time.
