This relaxed and interactive (VIRTUAL) class is specifically designed for the family that is expecting twins, triplets, or more and wants their babies to benefit from breastmilk feeding. The class is held remotely via WebEx and you will receive an invitation link in your email a few days prior to the class session. Along with learning about the benefits of breastmilk for infants and their moms, we will discuss the added benefits for multiples and preterm babies. We will have hands-on demonstration and practice time for both parents using various positions and tools for nursing more than one baby. Other topics will include combining direct breastfeeding with pumping, supplementing, and bottle-feeding, example feeding and pumping schedules for multiples, warning signs and treatments for common breastfeeding challenges, navigating NICU or special care, and finding community support. We will also give information about the postpartum recovery period and how to work together as a team to meet your breast milk feeding goals.
