Description

This class is designed specifically for parents who have given birth before and are preparing to welcome another baby. Unlike traditional childbirth education, this course honors prior experience while updating families on current best practices, helping them process previous births, and supporting intentional preparation for the journey this time.

Who Should Attend: Parents and families expecting their second or subsequent child, with varied prior birth experiences.

Class Content: The class module includes:

Reflecting on your First/Previous Birth: parents reflect on their previous birth, recognize strengths and unresolved feelings, reframe their experience when needed, and explore how future labors may be different.

Labor & Birth Refresher: a fast, practical review of the stages of labor, current guidelines and interventions, pain-management and comfort options, when to go to the hospital, and how partners can take a more active leadership role.

Birth Planning with Intention helps parents create an intentional birth plan by identifying what to keep or change, communicating effectively with providers, and advocating for their needs with confidence.

Postpartum: Now with More Kids: prepares families for postpartum recovery with additional children by addressing sleep, healing, emotional well-being, shared responsibilities, support systems, and helping older siblings adjust.

Infant Feeding Refresher: provides a concise review of milk production and breastfeeding, common feeding challenges, and how to access support early when needed.

Expanding the Family Transition: helps families navigate the emotional transition of expanding their family while supporting sibling adjustment and maintaining a strong connection with their partner.
