Research shows that women who have the most support are able to successfully breastfeed for longer periods of time. At WakeMed, we have designed our Breastfeeding Basics class to give pregnant parents the information and confidence to get off to a great start with breastfeeding! This 3-hour long (VIRTUAL) interactive class incorporates lecture slides, videos, hands-on demonstrations, and Q&A time. The instructor will be demonstrating some hands-on positions for breastfeeding your baby, you may find it helpful to have a baby doll or stuffed animal with your for-class time to practice alongside the instructor.
